1. Water rushes into the ball injector when the injection valve is opened, flushing sponge cleaning balls into the flow of condensing water.
2. The sponge balls are carried into the condenser by the water. The balls scour off scale and fouling from the condenser tubes as they pass through it.
3. When the balls exit the condenser, they are caught by the ball trap.
4. For a few seconds, the drain valve opens, and the balls are sucked back into the injector. Water turbulence cleans the balls as they enter the injector, and the clean balls are held until the next cleaning cycle begins.
